All costs are shared and we organise a "kitty" before we leave the marina. In 2008 this was about £200 per week, but the exchange rate has since dropped by about 20%. Costs include food and drink on board, evening meals, marina fees, fuel, and laundry.
Before you leave the UK, it is wise to buy just enough Euro for the taxi or bus fare, plus a snack at the airport: say £20 per person. You will get a much better exchange rate in the Canary Islands.
